Sustainable Land, Sea and Air Transport

Singapore is actively pursuing sustainability across the land, maritime and air transport domains.

To build a more sustainable and inclusive land transport system, the Land Transport Authority's "Friendly Streets" initiative will create more inclusive and people-friendly commutes within residential neighbourhoods, to encourage walking to neighbourhood town centres.

The Maritime Port Authority of Singapore is working with value-chain stakeholders to support a multi-fuel future for marine bunkering. Singapore is also developing a network of green and digital shipping corridors to pilot solutions to enhance the resilience, efficiency and sustainability of global supply chains.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is developing a Sustainable Air Hub Blueprint. The Blueprint is a roadmap that sets medium-term and long-term targets and tangible pathways in the airport, airline and air traffic management domains.

As a major aviation and maritime hub, Singapore continues to actively support the efforts led by the International Civil Aviation Organisation and International Maritime Organisation to reduce international transport emissions.
