Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Climate Funding for Asia - 03 Dec 2023

As Asia looks towards new horizons in 2023, climate change, which was once a secondary concern to most, has now taken the forefront of regional and global conversations. Despite the low quantum of climate philanthropy globally ($7.5billion to $12.5billion), there is a positive trend of 25% global increase in investments towards climate-related initiatives since 2020. This discussion will be a spotlight session on lessons from previous investments led by AVPN and plans moving forward to bring in more catalytic capital for the Asian region. This session will also launch the second AVPN fund focused on climate action with potential focus areas around deploying new technologies like artificial intelligence within holistic climate solutions.
