Learning from Each Other: How a Global Community of Practice is Helping Countries Lead by Example and Green Government Operations - a COP28 GGI Event - 08 Dec 2023

The Greening Government Initiative (GGI), launched in 2021, is an international community for officials to share best practices, showcase innovation and develop collaborations to advance environmental sustainability in government operations.
 
In many countries, governments have the largest influence. Government efforts not only have direct emissions impacts, but can also spur economy-wide actions, drive zero-carbon technologies, lower decarbonisation costs and demonstrate leadership.
 
The governments of Singapore, Canada and the United States will host the first-ever in-person GGI gathering, which will showcase how officials around the world learn from one another, highlight member countries’ decarbonisation efforts and invite new countries to join.
