Supporting Singapore Enterprises and Workers in the Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy
To empower Singapore enterprises in capturing growth opportunities, Enterprise Singapore provides support via the Enterprise Sustainability Programme (ESP).
For a start, enterprises can build foundational, decarbonisation and sustainable financing knowledge through courses, and access foundational, sectoral and thematic playbooks highlighting key sustainability concepts and practical steps.
Enterprises can receive support to develop sustainability strategies, optimise resources, adopt standards or create sustainable products and services. Businesses adopting green solutions can access green financing via the Enterprise Financing Scheme-Green. Enterprise Singapore also curates programmes with trade associations and industry players to strengthen capabilities such as in decarbonisation, standards and certifications, and disclosures.
In 2023, Singapore also set up the Green Skills Committee (GSC). Bringing together industry players, trade associations and chambers, institutions, professional bodies and training providers, GSC drives Singapore’s efforts in developing green skills in line with job opportunities and training needs of companies and employees in a sustainable, lower-carbon economy.
